Sage is the owner of a book store Sequels in Florida. She is 32, and what most people would call a workaholic. She lives above the book store and pretty much just goes from one day to the next. Till one day this Surfer boy Derek comes into her store. What makes it even better is Derek is an author. Sage can't explain it but something about Derek makes her feel alive and scared all at the same time. He wants to do a book signing, which turns into him to do some writing workshops in her store instead. As they get to know each other Sage starts to see things in ways she never had before, but she doesn't think she is young enough for the 22 year old surfer, and isn't sure that he's even interested in her, or how long he will even be in town. Is it worth the risk?
I personally enjoyed the book. It does have some romantic sexual moments; however, I don't feel that they are raunchy in their wording. I will say that I was really getting into the book, and then it felt like it came to a quick ending. I wish there were just a few more chapters to round things out instead of the quick short sweet and to the point ending. All in all though I would recommend this to anyone that wants a good hearted quick read!

Waves of Romance continues the story between Sage and surfer boy Derek. They've been together for a few months, and Sage is loving surfing, and not being such a workaholic relying a lot on her favorite assistant Heather. Unfortunately for Sage Heather gets into the school she wanted and will need to leave Sequels. Heather recommends a girl she just graduated high school with Colby who has experience working in a bookstore. Sage agrees since she doesn't want to go back her old workaholic self. What she wasn't expecting is for Colby to be drop dead gorgeous who practically threw herself all over Derek during his writing seminar in-front of everyone. Can Sage who is already self conscious over hers and Derek's 10 year age difference handle the competition? Will Derek succumb to Colby's attention? Will Sage and Derek's love last, or fall short?
So I was glad to find out that there was a second book following this story. Like the first book it was an easy quick read. You could sit down and read this in about two hours give or take your reading speed. To really understand the characters you need to read the first book Without giving everything away I will say if you enjoyed the first one then you'll enjoy this one as well. There are some VERY steamy descriptive love scenes so be prepared for those. You will find that sometimes your cheering for Derek and Sage, and other times you're screaming at them.
