This is very light weight, and very easy to figure out how to use. It comes with the 9V battery which I think is GREAT because it is ready to use right out of the box. It has a red laser dot so you can aim and be accurate even on moving targets. (On a personal side note my 1 year old loved chasing the the dot around.) I like that you can scan and get multiple temperatures without having to reset it each time. Just hold the trigger down and scan what you're wanting to check. When you're done release the trigger and the last temperature will be displayed on the screen.
