This is not a book for the faint of heart. It touches some interesting topics, and isn't shy to go into detail. How close it to close for a mother and daughter? The writing style gets you involved in the book more like you are the character instead of just reading about someone else which is both good and confusing at times since there are multiple character points of view. This is not something I would give a teen reader as there are a lot of sexual moments. It is very well written, and when you think you know what is going to happen, or how it will end the author throws a twist in. Sex and Crime... how often they go hand in hand...
